St. Louis Entertainment Warehouses Attract Vacation Rental Guests

St. Louis has some exciting new venues with fun things to do indoors and plenty of activity choices for everyone. These thriving establishments offer food, drinks and entertainment for locals and tourists alike. So, no matter what the weather holds, visitors can plan on having fun with friends or family at one of these bustling locations near popular vacation rental properties.

City Foundry STL

Tons of live music is on the calendar for this industrial warehouse turned entertainment venue, featuring 350,000 square feet full of kitchens, shops and activities. The concept of such a space was inspired by The Ponce City Market in Atlanta, where actor Will Smith and his father Steve Smith, CEO of the New + Found investment firm, first saw the idea in person. Cities like St. Louis are taking to the venue because of the diversity of shops and restaurants offered in one location.

At 10,000 square feet, The City Winery is one of the newest additions to City Foundry STL, but plans to maximize the use of the space to increase brand awareness and sales. This location has a fully functioning winery in addition to its live event space. And BerryBox Superfood Store joined recently as well, adding on to the “17 kitchens” and counting. This first-ever food hall in St. Louis is especially popular with locals because it is open seven days a week.

The “tech-infused” version of Top Golf is available from Puttshack, which also has a globally inspired cocktail bar and restaurant. The two-story interior design is in “night mode” with its neon-colored illuminated courses. Private and semi-private party spaces are available as well.

If retail shopping is more your speed, this is the closest thing to a traditional mall for miles around. These boutique-style shops put local first by showcasing the talent and skill of nearby artists, designers, and jewelers. There’s also a space dedicated to women-owned brands, which includes a curated collection of gifts and sundries focused on wellness and self-care.

The live music line up also has something for everyone. From DJ Rico to Eric Nelson, enjoy the sounds every Friday and Saturday night in the Food Hall with all-local St. Louis talent. If you’re looking to change things up, there’s also Trivia Nights every Thursday with free prizes and tough competitors.

Only a mile away from the City Foundry STL is a beautiful three-bedroom short-term rental in The Grove, perfect for getting the full city experience with its exposed brick walls and stainless steel appliances. There is even a private fenced in yard and rarely found two-car garage.

The Armory STL

Literally branded as “The Biggest Bar in STL”, this new St. Louis attraction is a 250,000 square foot space dedicated to food and entertainment – with one of its first shows starring Lil Jon. It’s designed to optimize ticketed, live entertainment, but is next generation creative in having a two-story slide, 92 tap handles and more than 40 interactive games.

The venue got its name from its origins as a national guard armory in the 1930’s, where it housed military equipment and training areas. It is now the largest entertainment venue in St. Louis and is quickly becoming known as the city’s living room in Midtown.

A short distance away from the Armory are these gorgeous townhomes with up to five bedrooms. Each has a unique downtown city feel to them but with consistently high thread count sheets and plush towels. They even come equipped with toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner and soaps.

5 Bedroom Designer Home in Shaw

Fan of history? For smaller groups, there is a two-bedroom short-term rental property located in the historic district of McKinley Heights. Guests love it for its working fireplace, hardwood floors, and ornate doorway arches throughout the home. The furnished deck overlooks a large outdoor space.

The Anheuser-Busch St. Louis Brewery

Even older than The Armory is the Anheuser-Busch brewery – its flagship location – which opened in the 1850’s. The brewing company, which has several locations in the U.S., is one of the nation’s largest beer brands. Today it has more than 1,500 Google reviews and a 4.6 star rating with most comments remarking about the fact that all the food is somehow made with beer as an ingredient or cooking element. The tours, with samples and education about the process, receive very positive reviews and the beer garden is available for those who just want to hang out.

Some tours are subject to weather conditions, but do include a viewing of the famous Clydesdale stables. Featured in their commercials and advertisements for decades, these unusually large horses can be seen in the stables during the tour.

The perfect vacation rental to complement a day of legendary tours in St. Louis is the exquisite La Grande Maison De Soulard. A former bed and breakfast, this converted property has five bedrooms and five baths and retains much of the original woodwork throughout the home. It’s in a prime location for visiting each of these popular venues, plus many more.

Smaller groups traveling together should check out this smartly outfitted home with three bedrooms. It’s within walking distance to cute shops and restaurants. It even comes with two private parking spaces, which is rare for the Benton Park neighborhood.

These new entertainment warehouses are continuing to attract more guests. St. Louis has more to offer than just these music venues and food halls, but they are a great place to start, or end the day. Finding a comfortable space to relax with hotel quality linens and enough room for your family or friends might be the best way to enjoy the entire experience.
